WE HAVE FINISHED THE KAHLUA.
It has taken us since 2007, but we have finished the kahlua.
A brief explanation: This is my friend Esther, who was also my roommate in college. In 2007, I graduated from said college and abandoned many of my belongings to her care. Including this bottle of kahlua, which, at the time, was approximately 3/4ths unconsumed. Over the intervening half a decade, Esther and I have managed to occasionally get together and try to consume the kahlua. It, as you have may have surmised, has not worked that well.
We have however, made significant dents into several bottles of mead, more than one six-pack of cider, and tonight we are to embark on REVOLUTIONARY PALE ALE (with juniper! saffron in color! quoth the packaging). It’s just that the kahlua is like — erosion. Or continental drift! Its consumption is not visible to the naked eye.
BUT TODAY!
Today! We have finished the kahlua.
(And now we will watch TV.)
Cheers.

Clearly the Kahlua is the Grand Canyon, with important strata marking great adventures and drinks.
