paratactician: caliginouspyxidion: Port Meadow, Oxford. Punting at sunset (complete with ninety thousand midges). Yep, it’s going to be one delicious cliché after another, I’m afraid. Bonus Strider’s Edge trivia point: this is where the duel in Chapter 8 takes place! Though at sunrise, not sunset, so the light’s a bit different. (I am still hoping to do a DVD commentary on a chapter of SE, incidentally, since a lot of people requested it. I’m just not sure when I’m going to get time.) This is an absolutely gorgeous photograph, caliginouspyxidon, and has caused me to have eeeee I shall get to see all these places myself! moments, which are delightful. (Still cannot quite get over the OXFORD! ENGLAND! YAY! thing.) Also, pT, that duel continues to get more and more deliciously traumatic, with each bit of setting you reveal. I am picturing the inverse of this light and what it would look like on Sollux’s blood now, and being all augh. (still think you should DVD-commentary chapter 8, when you’ve time to do it)
